Beale Air Force Base was established in 1940 near Marysville.  Today, the primary mission of the Beale Air Force Base is intelligence.  The Air National Guard utilizes the base to hone the skills of guardsman in the maintenance and repair of the Global Hawk remotely piloted aircraft.  The California Air National Guard is made up of five organizations including the 195^th Wing based at Beale Air Force Base.

RS Morris Construction was retained to construction a new 11,000-square-foot operations and training facility.  The $9 million project is LEED Silver and includes the structure, parking lots, photovoltaic array sidewalks and landscaping.  As a subconsultant to the contractor, Geocon performed special inspection during the construction of the structure and also prepared a infiltration study.
