As a part of one of the largest waterfront planning efforts in the nation, the new $1.13 billion hotel and convention center by RIDA Development will include 1,600 hotel rooms, 400,000 sf of convention center and associated recreation facilities. This project will be the center of the new Chula Vista Bayfront Master Plan which is converting over 200 acres of underutilized land into a premiere destination with parks, trails, RV camping along with the hotel/convention center.
Geocon provided Phase 1 environmental site assessment in 2007 and performed a geotechnical investigation, updated grading recommendations and is currently providing testing and observation during construction.
