The first project completed under the City of West Hollywood’s 2007 Green Building Ordinance, Sierra Bonita provides 42 affordable one-bedroom units for very-low-income with special needs. The street-level provides 3000 sf of community services housing the West Hollywood Community Housing Corporation and AIDS Project Los Angeles. The project received the 2014 AIA/HUD Secretary’s Award for its unique design elements and features while fitting 42 accessible units on a 13,000 sf site with a 50-foot height limit.
Geocon performed a geotechnical investigation, Phase I and Phase II ESA and testing and observation during construction.
