One of the planned objectives of the California High Speed Rail (HSR) is to provide better connections to secondary airports to ease airport traffic. The planned multimodal transit terminal at Ontario International Airport, one of the nation’s busiest for outbound cargo shipments, will offer a more efficient commute to and from the airport with connections to California HSR, trolley and bus options. The OAI SWA & MTS Cargo Relocation project included construction of two fabric storage structures, rehabilitation of site pavements, utility improvements, and construction of a storm water mitigation system. Pavement rehabilitation included removing the existing asphalt pavement and replacement with a new pavement sections.
Geocon performed a geotechnical investigation, provided infiltration testing, pavement rehabilitation study and review of grading specifications.
