Folsom Cordova Unified School District serves 20,000 students in the cities of Folsom, Rancho Cordova and Mather at 24 schools in a rapidly growing area.  Geocon is currently providing geotechnical, geological, and environmental consulting services to assist Folsom Cordova Unified School District with forward planning for future school sites in the Folsom Plan Area, as well as the Glenborough, Easton Place, Westborough, and Rio Del Oro Land Use Plan Areas. In this capacity, Geocon has participated in District meetings with land owner/developer representatives, provided document review, and drawn on background research and professional experience in the area to identify issues of potential concern to the District.

Future planning is necessary but construction is on-going.  Geocon has been working with the District since 2009 providing geotechnical and environmental investigations as well as construction observation.
