Padre Dam Municipal Water District was formed in 1976 with the merger of Santee County Water District and Rio San Diego Municipal Water District. It currently provides potable water and wastewater collection and treatment to Santee, Blossom Valley, Dehesa, Crest, Alpine, Harbison Canyon, Flinn Springs and parts of Lakeside and El Cajon. Geocon has provided on-call geotechnical engineering services for the PDMWD since 2011. Projects have included reservoirs, sewer mains, water mains, storm drains, valve replacements, park improvements, pump stations, slope repairs, force water mains, chlorine buildings, surge tanks and recycling projects.
Geocon is currently performing geotechnical investigation services as well as emergency utility break repairs, testing and observations during construction, material testing and inspection services and environmental services.
“I’ve worked with Geocon on numerous water/wastewater capital improvement projects over the past few years. Their group of technical professionals are knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with. They complete projects on time, within budget, and its apparent they have very high standards.”
