Los Angeles, California

The 1133 Hope Street, 34-story mixed-used high-rise structure towers above its neighbors two blocks from the Staples Center in the highly developed downtown Los Angeles area. This high-rise is 460,000 sf of residential and commercial space and provides 181 luxury units with expanded penthouse units with spectacular view of downtown, residential amenities, 350 parking spaces in 5 levels of podium parking over 2 levels of subterranean and 5,000 sf of retail space. The building was designed by Chris Dikeakos Architects, Inc.

Geocon started working on the site back in 2006 performing a comprehensive geotechnical investigation as well as a site specific seismic design in 2016 after the project sat dormant for 10 years.

Interesting Fact: A highrise is defined as being 75 feet (or about 7 stories) high by the National Fire Protection Association.
