We’re excited to partner with Kimley-Horn, San Bernardino County Transportation Authority (SBCTA), Caltrans, and the City of Colton on the Mount Vernon Avenue Improvement Project over I-10. Geocon performed an Initial Site Assessment (ISA) and aerially deposited lead (ADL) testing to evaluate potential hazardous substances and petroleum product impacts that could affect the construction.
Once complete, this project will greatly improve traffic flow during peak hours along Mount Vernon Avenue, from East Valley Boulevard to the I-10 eastbound ramps. The project involves replacing the four-lane bridge with a six-lane bridge, realigning Mount Vernon Avenue and East Valley Boulevard, and making various street improvements. It also includes the installation of ADA-compliant curb ramps, crossing activators, and tactile sensors to ensure greater accessibility.
We’re proud to contribute to a project that enhances safety and accessibility for the community!
