Well stimulation treatments like hydraulic fracturing are being used on oil and gas wells in California to enhance oil and gas production. Under Geocon’s statewide contract for environmental services, we have prepared Sampling and Analysis Plan (SAP) to assess waste generated during well stimulation (fracking) treatment processes. The SAP aims to characterize the fluids and solids generated during well stimulation processes with respect to the chemicals of potential concern to provide credible information that can be used to evaluate if hazardous waste is being generated and manage risk associated with the well stimulation treatment (if any).
