Noah Homes just opened the first memory care facility specifically for people with developmental disabilities. Life expectancy for people with Downs Syndrome has increased dramatically in recent decades – from 25 in 1983 to 60 today. Geocon in connection with HomeAid San Diego helped construct two 5,000-square-foot homes for 20 people with developmental disabilities diagnosed with aging/Alzheimer’s/dementia. The two homes were designed with the aid of UC San Diego researchers.
Geocon prepared a geotechnical investigation (pro bono) and provided testing and observation during grading and construction of walls, pavements and utilities and special inspection all at reduced rates.
