A transportation project can change more than a commute.
SR 132 West is creating a more direct east-west connection through Modesto while helping shift regional and truck traffic away from local streets and neighborhoods. That means less congestion on local roads, better connections between SR 99 and I-5, and improved conditions for the people who live, walk, bike, work, and go to school along the existing corridor.
Geocon has been part of the project story since the design phase, working with Dokken Engineering and contributing geotechnical insight to the collaborative effort behind the new expressway and associated improvements. Our involvement continued into construction, carrying practical solutions forward as plans became the infrastructure we use today.
Projects like SR 132 West show why transportation infrastructure matters. It is not just about moving vehicles. It is about creating better connections between communities while giving local streets more room to serve the people who use them every day.
