Utility Crossing Under Dry Creek Channel
Ontario, California

The developer of the Orbis Interchange commercial/industrial project, agreed to provide offsite improvements that included new sewer, domestic water and recycled water lines along Ontario Mills Parkway.  Geocon was retained for the geotechnical investigation and Michael Baker International prepared the civil plans.

The planned utility lines will cross beneath the Day Creek Channel using pipe jacking methods at a depth of approximately 20 feet beneath the existing pavement surface. Our investigation addressed construction of the jacking and receiving pits and the trust blocks necessary to jack under the creek.
