Ms. Richards grew up in Albuquerque and attended the University of New Mexico where she earned her Bachelor’s degrees. Wanting to study continental collision, she came to California and earned her Master’s in Geology. Her professional career started with environmental consulting for the privately owned petroleum stations and quickly expanded to management of nationwide petroleum company portfolios and diversified into work on other sites such as landfills, dry cleaners and manufacturing facilities. Her background includes performing field investigations, remediation operations, corrective action, agency negotiations and budget management. She serves and manages the environmental group in San Diego for city, county, state and private clients.

Outside of work, Marci enjoys adventure travel, exploring less-traveled paths in Bhutan, South America, Australia, Spain, Mexico and the United States with family and friends. While in San Diego she is active in various communities, backyard gardening, fermented culinary arts and enjoys all things outdoors.
