Josh Ewert began his engineering geology career as an intern with Geocon in 2007 after graduating from CSU Sacramento with a Bachelor’s Degree in Geology. He started out working on petroleum site investigation and cleanup projects, where he quickly showed his ability to learn and apply new technical skills and soon became a “go-to” consultant for remediation system design, installation, and operation and maintenance. Since then, Josh’s project experience has included a wide variety of projects including Preliminary Endangerment Reports for school sites, aerially deposited lead studies along hundreds of miles of highway across the state, and Remedial Action Plans for dry cleaner facilities. Josh also has extensive experience working on projects with soil vapor, indoor air, and vapor intrusion concerns. He is now a registered professional geologist in California and oversees the day-to-day operations of the environmental consulting, hazardous waste and materials testing, and environmental contracting groups in Sacramento. His clients include a mix of city, county, and state governmental agencies and private developers, and he strives to work closely with all project stakeholders including buyers, sellers, regulatory agencies, attorneys, lenders, investors, and other consultants.

Outside of work, Josh loves spending time with his wife and two sons. He is an avid sports fan (a glutton for punishment rooting for the Kings, Raiders, Royals, and Sac Republic), a decent chef, a not-decent golfer, and a home brewer.
