Jeremy Zorne began his professional geotechnical engineering career with Geocon in 1997 after graduating from CSU Sacramento with a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering. Jeremy’s career-long tenure at Geocon spanned the ranks from engineering field/lab technician to the Geotechnical Group Manager for Geocon’s Sacramento office. Along the way, Jeremy earned a Master’s Degree in Geotechnical Engineering from CSU Sacramento and became a registered professional Civil and Geotechnical Engineer in California. Jeremy oversees the day to day operations of the geotechnical engineering, laboratory, and materials testing/special inspection groups in Sacramento. Jeremy consistently provides responsive geotechnical services for a variety of clients and project types throughout Northern California and has managed several on-call professional services contracts for agencies such as Caltrans, California State Parks, and California Department of General Services. Jeremy’s key project experience includes transportation infrastructure, mixed-use/redevelopment, water/wastewater treatment/distribution facilities, educational facilities, parks and recreation facilities, commercial/industrial development, and residential development.
As a dedicated alumnus, Jeremy serves on the Civil Engineering Program Industry Advisory Committee at CSU Sacramento and also teaches a section of the undergraduate soils mechanics laboratory. When not at work or school, Jeremy can usually be found on a mountain bike, road bike, snowboard, or a hiking trail in the Sierras with his wife and daughter. Jeremy is a self-proclaimed “beer snob” and enjoys great food, music, friends and family.
