Lisa Battiato, CEG, LEED AP
Ms. Battiato has been providing engineering geologic services within southern California for more than 16 years. Experience includes: seismic hazard analyses; subsurface fault, landslide, liquefaction, and geotechnical investigations and assessments; geologic mapping, trouble-shooting, and project management of large, hillside grading projects; pavement distress mitigation; geotechnical services during utility installation and roadway construction; geologic evaluation of levee stability; and supervision of materials testing during commercial, public works, and DSA construction. Ms. Battiato has been actively involved in determining methods and design necessary for slope stabilization, seepage, mitigation of collapsible soils, induced soil settlement, expansive soils, subsurface dewatering and drainage.
Lisa enjoys being involved in the communities she serves. As President of APWA-CV in 2013 she looks forward to incorporating new technology with the organization to allow the expansion of membership and the opportunity for learning by incorporating cutting edge development strategies.
Away from work Ms. Battiato enjoys spending time with her two favorite artists, her husband and son and their two BIG dogs Bella (Siberian husky) and Bear (Great Dane mix). Lisa enjoys fitness; Zumba; hiking; reading about politics and the economy; gardening; and doing home improvement projects.
