Best outdoor activity: Take the Livermore Wine Trolley on a tour of various wineries throughout the Valley; Rent a Pedego Electric Bike, and tour our local trails and parks; Take a hike or ride your bike at one of our beautiful regional parks like Sycamore Grove Regional Park or Del Valle Regional Park; play golf at The Course At Wente Vineyards, Las Positas Golf Course or the Poppy Ridge Golf Course.

Top things to do in Livermore: Wine tasting!  Approximately 30 miles outside of San Francisco, the Livermore Valley is hidden gem in northern California.   There are more than 60 wineries and about 96,000 acres of wine grapes in Livermore.

Other: Our City is home to renowned science and technology centers, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) and Sandia National Laboratory.   LLNL is home to the  National Ignition Facility (NIF) – the largest and most energetic laser facility ever built. NIF is so large that three football fields could fit inside. NIF is also the most precise and reproducible laser as well as the world’s largest optical instrument.

Best restaurant: One of our team’s favorites right down the street from our office is HopDeVine.

Engineering marvel: Livermore is home to the Centennial Light Bulb, the World’s longest running light bulb!  Burning since 1901, the light is almost never switched off. It is maintained by the Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department who intend to keep the bulb burning as long as it will.
